Vice President Development

Proclinical is seeking a Vice President, Development, to be based in Germany on a permanent basis.

Job Responsibitlies:

• Professional and disciplinary leadership of the Development Department
• Ensuring the timely, cost- and content-appropriate implementation of all development projects and tasks
• Responsible for the creation, implementation and further development of efficient processes in the area taking into account the regulatory framework
• Ongoing evaluation and optimisation of the development process with regard to qualitative, time and cost-oriented as well as regulatory stable implementation
• Establishment and expansion of external partners to overcome resource bottlenecks
• Scaling and result-oriented control of resources
• Coordinate the close communication within the area as well as between the departments and locations
• Escalation and problem-solving instance for development-specific problems and disorders
• Identify resource bottlenecks and solve them
• Review and release of (results) reports and reports in accordance with the requirements of ISO 13485
• Participation in the preparation of the financial budget
• Analysis and definition of personnel development measures as well as implementation in coordination with HR
• Representation of the area "Development" at customers and at fairs
• Maintaining and expanding the network with technology, product providers, suppliers and development service providers

Skills and Requirements:

• Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or software engineering or equivalent relevant activity
• Several years of relevant, sector-specific professional experience (medical technology, pharmaceuticals, etc.) in a comparable position
• Solid leadership experience
• Successfully optimising development functions with the aim of establishing modern and efficient development processes and knowledge of using modern development tools
• Experience in the development of computer assisted products / solutions, ideally several years of experience in the development of digital medical devices
• Ability to effectively and "breathing" resource planning across all capacities while meeting strategic goals and priorities
• Knowledge of the qualitative and regulatory requirements in medical technology
• Proficient in German and English
