QC Microbiologist - Contract - Cambridge, MA

Proclinical is seeking a dedicated QC Microbiologist to support our vaccine manufacturing site. This is a contract position located in Cambridge, MA.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for routine and non-routine QC sampling and testing within the QC Microbiology Laboratory. This is a first shift position.

Skills & Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline or equivalent Quality Control experience in a cGMP organization with a focus in Microbiology.
  • Knowledge of GMP, microbiology, aseptic technique, and general laboratory instrumentation is preferred.
  • Experience in lab investigation, deviation writing, participating in change controls, and CAPAs investigations.
  • Ability to efficiently prioritize, manage and complete multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.

The QC Microbiologist will:

  • Perform routine environmental monitoring of the manufacturing facility.
  • Conduct routine sampling and testing of utility systems.
  • Carry out manufacturing process monitoring.
  • Handle QC sample receipt and aliquoting as necessary.
  • Complete documentation in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) ensuring data integrity.
  • Support laboratory investigations, deviation management, and CAPA.
  • Maintain QC Micro related systems to ensure compliance with industry standards supporting internal/external audits.
  • Perform general laboratory tasks including housekeeping, equipment monitoring and maintenance, and inventory of supplies.
  • Support raw material sampling and testing.
  • Author and revise standard operating procedures.
