Proclinical is seeking a Scientist specializing in B-Cell Biology to join a dynamic team in Palo Alto, CA.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate focuses on supporting preclinical research efforts in immunology and infectious diseases. You will play a key part in designing and executing experiments, analyzing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance research programs.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Advanced degree (PhD) in Immunology or a related life sciences discipline, or an MS with relevant laboratory experience.
  • Expertise in B-cell biology and/or autoimmune disease is preferred.
  • Proficiency in experimental techniques such as primary human/animal tissue handling, cell culture, ELISAs/MSDs, flow cytometry, nucleic acid isolation, and qRT-PCR.
  • Familiarity with RNA-seq and/or scRNA-seq data analysis is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Box).
  • Knowledge of electronic laboratory notebooks (e.g., Benchling) and statistical analysis software (e.g., GraphPad Prism) is preferred.
  • Highly organized and precise in laboratory practices and maintenance.

The Scientist's responsibilities will be:

  • Conduct and support translational studies for preclinical programs.
  • Perform hands-on in vitro pharmacology experiments and maintain cell cultures and biological samples.
  • Design and oversee in vivo pharmacology studies conducted through CRO partners.
  • Manage laboratory reagents, ensuring proper organization, storage, and disposal.
  • Collaborate with the laboratory team to maintain lab space, equipment, and inventory.
  • Record experimental data, prepare technical reports, and summarize study findings.
  • Communicate project progress effectively to supervisors.
  • Develop and implement new assays, execute experiments, and analyze data of moderate complexity.
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to technical staff, new researchers, or interns.
  • Manage experimental timelines to meet project goals and deliverables.
  • Present scientific findings at internal meetings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support research and program needs.
