Automation Engineer

Proclinical is seeking a dedicated Automation Engineer to provide technical support for smooth manufacturing operations. The role involves managing the design, planning, construction, and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and implementing maintenance programs, troubleshooting manufacturing operations, and leading continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to ensure smooth manufacturing operation and minimum disruption to the operation process.
• Manage the design, planning, construction, and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities.
• Plan, budget, and schedule maintenance activities, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials, and other related costs.
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures and implement maintenance programs for the work area.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing operations in compliance with Site Safety and GMP procedures.
• Support projects being executed internally or by vendors.
• Manage and lead contractors, vendors, and service providers to perform maintenance works.
• Manage obsolescence and asset replacement according to site requirements and engineering standards.
• Lead in continuous improvement efforts and support the execution of automation qualifications.

Requirements

• Proficiency in different types of PLC programming language (Siemens Step 7, Rockwell RS Logix, B&R automation).
• Good knowledge of field instrumentations (temperature & pressure transmitter, control valve).
• Ability to perform simple instrument calibration and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance procedures, equipment manuals, work orders, process and instrumentation (P&ID) diagram, and electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with PLC control component, ability to carry out hardware replacement and minor software modification.
• r Experience in SCADA/yHMI System: GE Pro ficy iFix, Proficy Batch, SiMemens WineCC, Wonderware InTouch, FactoryTalk.
• Experience in Packaging system: Filling machine, Case packing, Palletizing, Automated conveying line.
• Experience in Robotic: ABB/Fanuc Robotics.
