Training & Education Manager

Proclinical is seeking a Training & Education Manager for a medical technology and devices company, to be based in Utrecht on a permanent basis. In this role you will be responsible for defining and implementing the Training & Education strategy and procedure in the Netherlands with as goal to enlarge the product knowledge of company employees, customers and prospects.

Job Responsibilties:

• Responsible for design, delivery, and execution of Dutch customer training and education program for company's diverse base of dental industry clients
• Supports Head of Marketing and T&E, Benelux, in development of educational and training strategy to support company's business objectives
• Supports Human Resources in development and delivery of content for internal employee training and education, as required
• Supports Head of Marketing and T&E, Benelux, in development of yearly training and education budget; responsible for implementation of that budget
• Implement Training- and Education strategy and processes in the Netherlands, based upon the global Straumann Training & Education strategy
• Conform the T&E strategy with the Marketing and Sales strategies
• Adequately observe and respond to trends, development and chances in T&E.
• Support the ITI educational programs.
• Lead, train and coach the Dutch T&E team to ensure timely and accurate execution of education and training events in accordance with company's training and education strategy
• Proactively identify training needs of employees and customers or prospects.
• Efficiently support sales employees in developing and maintaining contacts with customers and prospects by delivering product training
• Participate in interdisciplinary project teams, especially regarding the development and attractiveness of training and education
• Contribute to the marketing plan and to the implementation of marketing campaigns
• Participate in periodical meetings with the Head of Marketing
• Initiate, organize and coordinate periodical Training & Education meetings

Skills and Requirements:

• HBO, University degree of equivalent
• Post graduate course work in learning/educational design and development or sales/marketing preferred
• Minimum 5 years' experience in designing, developing, and delivering training and education programs to customer and internal employee groups, with at least 2 years' focus on training and educating customer groups
• Experience working in either a business to business (B2B) sales organization or organization dedicated to designing and delivering training to licensed professionals (e.g., dentists, doctors, lawyers, accountants)
• Strong interpersonal skills required
• Demonstrated ability to work under time pressure
• Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, execute multiple training programs simultaneously
• Willing to work some weekends
• Strong Dutch and English speaker
• Experience working in cross functional teams or multicultural teams (e.g., teams containing marketing and sales professionals or professionals from different cultural backgrounds) desirable
• Extensive local and limited international travel required
• Ability to work on a strategical/analytical and operational level in a matrix organization.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, Excel in special.
