A leading pharmaceutical company that accelerates the launch and listing of drugs across China is seeking for a Statistician to join their office in Shanghai. The organisation, which is a subsidiary of an international pharmaceutical corporation, specialises in increasing China's core competitive power in the innovation of new drugs. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a prestigious company that develops first-class drugs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Providing statistical expertise to support the study design, implementation, and interpretation of study result, regulatory submissions, publication and commercialisation.
  • Analysing internal and external information to inform design decisions and the development of decision criteria.
  • Identifying opportunities for the application of modelling and simulation to improve study design.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve the methodology and provide practical solutions for problems.
  • Identifying and applying statistical methodology to improve the process and delivery activities.
  • Providing support to the regulatory submissions, including specification of overview documents and response to regulatory questions.
  • Contributing to the development of best practice to improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Skills and Requirements:

  • MSc /PhD in Statistics or Mathematics (containing a substantial statistical component).
  • Preferably, at 5 years of experience as a statistician in pharmacy, healthcare, or other relevant area.
  • Excellent working knowledge of SAS software.
  • Knowledge of the technical and regulatory requirements related to the role.
  • Ability to apply statistical expertise to problems, problem solving and quality focus.
  • Experience of Clinical study design, statistical analysis plan writing, data analysis, and interpretation.
  • Experience of regulatory, commercial, or early development support work.
  • Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
  • Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office.
