SENIOR FINANCE MANAGER

Proclinical is currently seeking a Senior Financial Manager for a biotechnology company located in Foster City, CA. Successful candidate must have the ability to understand business processes and develop technology solutions to automate and enhance the business process. Someone with strong technical and analytical skills in building dashboards, data visualization, data integration and data governance, system integration experience and the ability to merge data sets from multiple sources to develop effective reporting tools. This person should have the ability to multitask/prioritize, effectively manage their time, project manage, coordinate team activities and manage communications. They should also be a motivated self-starter and strong communicator.

Job Responsibilities:

• Establishing strong partnerships with the PDM Finance organization to provide comprehensive analytical support for key strategic initiatives as well as day-to-day operations.
• Managing PDM Finance project governance processes. Incorporating best practices to enhance project status review meetings, compiling monthly review materials, driving discussions on focus areas, coordinating communication with project leads on action items, and driving accountability for project owner's deliverables.
• Proactively engaging with Finance colleagues and other partners to drive forward the execution of projects, ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables.
• Driving development of meaningful data and analytics optimization efforts. Identifying technology solutions to automate and enhance business processes.
• Supporting data governance action items and working efforts needed to drive standardization.
• Supporting UAT testing coordination for financial system process enhancements and updates.
• Supporting ad hoc requests and ongoing analytics support to assist the PDM finance organization with tactical and strategic decision making processes.

Skills and Requirements:

• BS/BA required, and a CPA is preferred. MBA is a plus.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in Finance, having held positions of increasing scope and responsibility.
• Must have proficiency with Oracle, Hyperion, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• System integration experience and the ability to merge data sets from multiple sources to develop effective reporting tools.
• Demonstrated project management experience.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical abilities.
• Experience with project reporting, operational accounting and reporting is required.
• Demonstrated success working in a deadline driven and multi-task environment.
• Prior experience in biotech or pharmaceuticals industry or supporting manufacturing is preferred. Experience in multi-national organization a plus.
