Our client, a young molecular diagnostics company based near Stuttgart, Germany, specializes in the development and marketing of reliable, fast and cost-effective solutions for the diagnosis of serious infections, is looking for a Scientific Affairs Manager (w/m) to be based near Stuttgart on a permanent basis. The Scientific Affairs Manager will report to the Head of Marketing & Scientific Affairs EMEA.

Job Responsibilities:

  • In your role as a Scientific Affairs Manager, you will represent the company internally and externally in all scientific matters.
  • You will coach and support the sales team in product-relevant scientific questions, allowing the company to present itself to customers based on a strong scientific foundation.
  • You will identify relevant opinion leaders and build and maintain networks with them.
  • In collaboration with these opinion leaders, you will develop objectives and protocols for clinical studies that support the evidence-based marketing of a specific company product and its applications, both internationally and regionally.
  • You will accompany these studies in all phases of planning and implementation, representing the company's interests while adhering to all applicable scientific, medical, legal, and ethical standards.
  • In close dialogue with opinion leaders and customers you will support Marketing in designing new products and determining customer requirements for new products.
  • You will represent the company at conferences with presentations and contributions to panels and discussions.

Skills and Requirements:

  • An academic education in life sciences with a PhD/MD in the field of
    microbiology or a comparable qualification
  • Experience in the planning and implementation of clinical studies, preferably in the field of diagnostics or med-tech. for example as CRA/Clinical monitor
  • Scientific credibility on the basis of high-quality medical publications in relevant fields
  • Confident and respectable demeanour in direct conversations and during lectures and presentations
  • An independent and reliable way of working
  • An open and communicative mind-set and approach
  • The conscious decision to work as a team player in an innovative and dynamic smaller company
  • Business-fluent knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of
    German and/or French is an advantage, but not a strict requirement
  • Professional knowledge of current office software applications (MS Office)
  • Considerable willingness to travel for up to 50% of the working time
