Proclinical is working with worldwide biotechnology company situated in London and operating in over 70 markets worldwide is looking for a Medical Manager. The company specialises in neurological conditions and puts a great emphasis on teamwork and delivering biological products.

The Medical Manager is responsible to support medical affairs activities within the medical department, including, but not limited to providing technical support to sales and marketing functions in relation to marketed products, supporting the pharmacovigilance and medical information functions, preparation of training and support materials for clinical development products and providing support to the Associate Medical Directors on a project basis as needed.

Job Responsibilties:

  • Support for Medical Affairs Strategy
  • Maintain an up to date knowledge base on company products
  • Copy approval review for factual accuracy of promotional and informative material through Zinc
  • Responsible for technical input into concept development of promotional materials
  • Ensure all promotional material adheres to the IPHA and ABPI Codes of Practice along with the UK Medicines Act.
  • Internal and third-party training as required
  • Therapy support for internal and external stakeholders
  • Timely response to information requests to designated therapy areas
  • Provide therapy area medical input in any Health Technology Assessment Submissions as required, in line with overall brand strategy
  • Leverage scientific/customer insights in order to enhance promotional materials on a rolling basis through the development cycle
  • Provide logistical support for the implementation and continued execution of any product specific risk management plans as required 55% b. Medical Information In cooperation with the Medical Information Manager
  • Provide information responses to enquiries as required and in a timely manner
  • Review and contribute to medical information Standard Letters, Data on File and Question & Answer documents for marketed brands and development compounds and any other company related activities
  • Assistance with training of all company UKI and external providers on appropriate procedures
  • Awareness of local and national legislation (MHRA or HPRA) 30% c. Pharmacovigilance
  • Responsible for assisting with adverse event handling relating to the company
  • Assistance with training of all company and external providers on relevant procedures 5% d. Product Complaints
  • Assisting with the collection and reporting of all technical product complaints to Quality Assurance department.
  • Processing service complaints relating to external support functions 5% e. International Medical Affairs
  • Where necessary act on behalf of the Associate Medical Director in representing the UKI affiliate within the International Medical Affairs Group
  • Where necessary become involved in projects and activities originating from International Medical Affairs group 5%
  • Responsibility for Medical Affairs activities for assigned products in the UK. Lead Medical Input into sales and Marketing strategies and medical and technical input into concept development of Brand Promotional Materials.
  • Lead activities of medical department and provide technical support to sales and marketing functions into relation to marketed and clinical development products
  • Responsible for activities related to the delivery of medical strategies and budget management
  • Provide Medical Support into Sales and marketing Strategies
  • Medical and technical input into concept development of brand promotional materials
  • Review brand specific and portfolio related promotional materials for factual accuracy
  • Review and Contribute to Medical Information Standard Letters
  • Awareness of local and national legislation
  • Liason with healthcare professionals: develop medical insights by attending scientific meetings (Job description attached)
