Global Pricing Manager

Proclinical has a brilliant opportunity for a Global Pricing Manager to be based in Zurich. This job will be with one of the largest workforce management solutions companies in the world who specialise in multiple scientific and engineering sectors.

Our client is looking for a strong candidate for the position of Global Pricing Manager (temporary). This individual will focus on providing quality pricing analysis for existing products, managing price governance / Pricing and Market Access (PMA) information systems and managing the price certification process for existing and new products. This is a varied role offering the opportunity to work closely with Global/Regional Market Access and other Takeda functions as and when required. The position offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience and insights into all aspects of a global pricing role and will be located in Zurich Switzerland reporting to the Global Pricing Director.

Job Responsibilities:

• Delivering robust price analysis to internal stakeholders
• Partnering with Regional PMA Leads to optimise patient access, market penetration and revenue potential of existing product at both Global and Regional level
• Anticipate impacts of International Referencing rules (IRP) and FOREX risk to provide insights and recommendations to management
• Develop ad hoc dashboards and trackers to monitor performance and price realization
• Providing pricing support/input into annual business planning cycles
• Collect and validate country pricing and IRP assumptions
• Ensure assumptions are incorporated into price calculations
• Manage future price calculations and quality check output
• Ensure Regions/Country PMA team have access to output
• Managing Price Governance and PMA information systems
• Be system administrator of core Price governance system
• Ensure adherence to price governance in an efficient and timely manner
• Work with vendor on future enhancements to fulfil user changing requirements
• Provide Regions/Countries with systems support
• Managing the price certification process
• Validating price certificate information to ensure correctness
• Prioritising certificate processing and liaising with internal stakeholders
• Ensure timely completion of requests
• Ensuring transparency in process and confidentially of the sensitive pricing information
• Including efficient and effective document record keeping to satisfy internal audit requirements

Skills and Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years in Pharmaceutical / Life Cycle industry with at least 3 years within a pricing function
• Strong experience of pricing analysis (impact of international reference pricing, evaluation of business case, interpretation of financial data)
• Expertise in price sensitivity and pricing models
• Practical expertise in formulating and implementing solutions to overcome problems and deliver quality results
• Knowledge of established cost-containment measures used to manage pharmaceutical expenditure in major markets worldwide
• Good knowledge of international pricing background (major pricing systems and their evolution)
• Knowledge of market access mechanics, healthcare policy and funding pathways
• Knowledge of payer mindset and motivations
• Strong analytical/financial/business skills
• Have exceptional IT literacy with regards to excel, powerpoint and word
• Good presentation skills, able to effectively communicate, personalize the message and approach key contacts with a defined objective
• Ability to translate concepts in to implementable solutions
• Ability to prioritize emergencies and/or important/imperative requests
• Ability to handle and simplify complex matters and propose innovative solutions
• Ability to interact in a simple structured manner with internal stakeholders to enable team alignment in the development and implementation of pricing strategies and facilitation of management decision
• Operate in a complex organization / matrix team / within different therapeutic domains
• Knowledge of relevant regional/country pricing regulation
• In-depth understanding of pricing analogs, reimbursement conditions, and HTAs.
