Contract & Proposal Manager - Homebased

Proclinical is seeking a Contracts and Proposals Manager, to be homebased, for an ambitious clinical research focussed laboratory. As a Contracts and Proposals Manager you apply your scientific knowledge, communication and organization skills for the proposals and contracting process, change orders and budget revisions, and act as an in-house contact for Business Development Managers and Sponsors.

Job Responsibilities:

• You support setup requests for Proposals in close collaboration with involved employees of the company
• You act as an intermediary between the Business Development Managers, company employees and our partner labs
• You use your scientific background to analyse the customer's needs and translate the service requirements into a business proposal
• You follow up on the contracting process and ensure that all is in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
• You keep track of all documents required during the initial phase of a clinical project awarded to the company (e.g. budget versions, contracts, laboratory specifications, etc.)
• You ensure budget updates for ongoing projects by coordinating process control with the Finance and Project Management Departments.
• You analyse current pricing and look for optimization opportunities
• You assist the Department Head BD and contribute in optimizing relevant workflow processes (e.g. Request for Proposal, Request for Change, Financial follow up studies, Contract Execution etc.)

Skills and Requirements:

• You have a master's degree in Science (Biomedical, Bio-engineer, etc.)
• You are an excellent communicator, open, clear and honest with a positive attitude
• You possess the ability to manage multiple contracts of varying types and size through the contract administration process
• You have a strong sense of business acumen, capable and eager to combine both scientific and financial skills.
• Experience in the CRO business (preferably central laboratory services) is an asset
• You have a strong interest in pricing analysis and strategy
• You are an excellent organizer with good time management skills
• You have the ability to work in tight deadlines
• You are analytical and accurate with numbers
• You are fluent in English, Dutch is an asset
• Experience in a financial oriented setting is a plus
