Proclinical have an exciting opening for an experienced, driven and passionate Business Unit Manager based in Maidenhead. This is a chance to join a global biopharmaceutical company with a vast array medical expertise while mainly concentrating on research and development.

Reporting to the Business Unit Director, this leadership role will have overall responsibility for the brand strategy, sales and marketing functions and all other commercial activities to maximise sales and margin whilst also keeping the patient at the centre of everything.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leading the development and execution of all marketing and sales related brand activities as per the Brand Plan to exceed sales and margin within budget
  • Setting future direction for existing and new products / opportunities in order to maximise business result
  • Optimising resource utilisation by leading and developing your sales team including setting targets and ensuring continuous learning and improvement
  • Full accountability for your allocated P&L including leading appropriate financial planning processes
  • Liaison with relevant regional and global functions in order to integrate wider strategy and tactics into your local Brand Plan
  • Building cross functional teams to optimise communications and build strong team spirit

Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong Oncology experience (haematology or solid tumours)
  • Relevant experience with a proven track record of success in a marketing and sales leadership position within biotech/pharmaceutical industry
  • Ability to develop business vision, translate into strategies and actionable, realistic execution actions plus knowledge of territory and relationships with key stakeholders already established
  • Proven track record of successful leadership, management and coaching of teams and individuals, and in having developed talent and performance managed low performers.
  • Excellent working knowledge of healthcare environment and evolving landscape
  • Excellent knowledge of strategic and tactical marketing and sales principles and techniques
  • Operates and leads effectively in a matrix structure
  • Proven track record of having achieved extraordinary business results related to innovation
