Associate Director, High Throughput Screening

At Proclinical, we are seeking an individual to fill the role of Associate Director of High Throughput Screening, based in Pennsylvania. The successful individual will provide expertise and leadership in biochemistry and lead generation efforts in support of assigned drug discovery programs. Additionally, the individual will interact broadly with drug discovery scientists including compound management scientists, structural biologists, biologists and medicinal chemists. The successful candidate will provide leadership and direction as expands its HTS capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise and leadership in the company's lead finding projects and biochemical support of medicinal chemistry programs.
• Management of a group of scientists focused on drug discovery.
• Evaluate, institute and integrate new technology into the drug discovery process.
• Act as a key member for drug discovery project teams and interact directly with hits to leads and medicinal chemistry groups and biology team members.
• Participate as member of the new target discovery team and provide expertise in target evaluation and lead discovery strategy.

Skills And Qualifications

• PhD in biochemistry or related field, and 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Chemical library acquisition and/or compound handling experience a plus.
• Proven experience with lead generation success in support of drug discovery programs.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
