Our partner, an innovative pharmaceutical company from the Netherlands, wanted to expand their planning and logistics team in Spain as the size of their plant had increased notably and the person managing the department had moved into a new role with a higher seniority and different responsibilities.
We were assigned the task of finding a person with international experience within supply chain to support to the Director of the department and manage a team of 11 people. This all needed to be conducted within extremely tight timelines and a niche candidate pool.
From having partnered with them on other projects, we had a good understanding of the company values and ethos. We organised a meeting in Spain with HR and the hiring manager to fully understand their requirements for this individual on a personal and technical level, and timelines for interviews were agreed at the beginning of the process to maximise efficiency. We headhunted across Europe for this role and four candidates were selected for the initial interview stage. Two moved forward for the final phase and one was hired – a highly experienced candidate based in Italy who relocated to Spain to take over the role.
