Proclinical is seeking a Research Associate to support the development of gene therapies targeting nonmalignant hematological conditions such as bleeding-thrombotic disorders and anemia. This role involves conducting in vivo and ex vivo experiments to assess the efficacy, safety, and translatability of therapeutic assets. You will work collaboratively with a team to utilize preclinical animal models and human patient materials, including blood and plasma, for research purposes.

Responsibilities:
- Design, execute, and analyze in vivo experiments, including intravenous injections, blood/plasma collection, and bleeding/thrombosis models.
- Characterize the efficacy and safety of gene therapy assets using molecular and biochemical assays (e.g., ELISA, thrombin generation assay, chromogenic assays) in murine and human samples.
- Prepare, handle, and test patient-derived materials (blood and plasma) in vitro and ex vivo settings.
- Perform data analysis and present findings to the team.
- Maintain thorough documentation and contribute to lab organization, safety protocols, and inventory management.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Degree in Life Sciences (MSc or BSc in molecular biology, pharmacology, immunology, or coagulation) or completed apprenticeship as a Research Associate.
- Active LTK1, FELASA, or equivalent certification.
- Proven hands-on experience with rodent work, including intravenous injections and blood collection.
- Strong experimental design and data analysis skills.
- Ability to independently manage and execute in vivo studies.
- Fluency in English.
- Experience with animal surgery.
- Knowledge or experience in coagulation biology and/or gene therapy.
- Hands-on experience with molecular and biochemical assays (e.g., ELISA, thrombin generation, chromogenic assays).
