Pharmacy Technician - Contract - Kennett Square PA

Looking for your next opportunity to play a vital role in providing fast, accurate and safe services that keep our community healthy? Proclinical is recruiting for a dynamic Pharmacy Technician!

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will work closely with pharmacists to ensure the safe and efficient preparation of compounded medications in both sterile and non-sterile environments. You will have the opportunity to specialize in certain areas under the guidance of the Production Supervisor.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of compounding pharmacy software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Some job-related experience preferred, especially in non-sterile and sterile product preparation.
  • PCTB, CPhT, or state-issued certification preferred.
  • Texas E-5 certification for aseptic compounding as required.

The Pharmacy Technician's responsibilities will be:

  • Adhere to all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA, and internal policies.
  • Ensure compliance with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines through training and competencies.
  • Participate in quality control processes and maintain documentation of compounding activities.
  • Follow safety protocols, including wearing PPE and adhering to aseptic techniques.
  • Accurately read and interpret prescriptions and enter orders into the pharmacy system.
  • Prepare and compound medications under pharmacist supervision.
  • Assist in preparing formula log sheets and ensure proper documentation.
  • Measure, mix, package, and label compounded medications accurately.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists to maintain ingredient and product inventories.
  • Handle hazardous and non-hazardous drugs following OSHA and safety standards.
  • Perform aseptic techniques as required.
