Medical Writer

Proclinical is seeking a Medical Writer for a full-service contract research organisation to be based in Australia on a contract basis. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Medical Communications, the person in this position assists with writing and preparing medical and scientific documents and performs QC review of these documents.

Job Responsibilties:

• Write clinical documents including protocols, IBs, CSRs, patient narratives
• Write regulatory documents including sections of INDs and eCTD/NDAs, and briefing books
• Prepare scientific literature searches, abstracts, posters, slide presentations, and manuscripts
• Analyze and interpret clinical study data
• Participate in document review and comment resolution meetings with cross-functional teams
• QC review of medical writing documents

Skills and Requirements:

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Basic understanding of drug development, clinical study design, regulations and scientific principles
• Basic understanding of data analyses
• Able to problem-solve with minimal oversight
• Adapts work style to meet client and company needs
• Strong organizational abilities
• Attention to detail
• Motivated, self-directed, and able to work autonomously and in team settings to meet aggressive goals
• Dedicated to producing high-quality documents
• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) with advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required
• Ability to work in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment
• Available for minimal travel
