A biopharmaceutical company that focuses on developing cancer treatments is currently recruiting for an experienced Medical Science Liaison to join their expanding team in Paris. This is an exciting time to join this company who operate across the United States, Europe and other international markets and have an extensive pipeline of products under development.
Job Responsibilities:
- Functioning as the primary point of contact in the field.
- Interacting with key thought leaders and healthcare professionals in an appropriate & compliant manner.
- Exchanging scientific information with external parties.
- Intaking and managing investigator-initiated research interests.
- Reporting field intelligence, including competitive information, perspectives about compounds, and the treatment landscape.
- Providing support to the clinical development and operations teams through site recommendations, site initiation visits, facilitation of communication, and accrual support activities.
- Participating in or leading advisory board meetings at the local, regional, and national level.
- Providing internal and external training about preclinical science, clinical data, and outcomes.
- Representing the company at medical conferences and provide session summaries.
- Within guidelines, providing cross-functional support across the company by being a scientific resource.
- Developing and maintaining an advanced level of knowledge about pertinent studies, compounds, and diseases that would facilitate collegiate and scientific discussions with leading oncology thought leaders.
- Managing the assigned territory while also supporting contributing to the success of colleagues and the MSL organization as a whole.
- Quickly and accurately learn, retain, and present detailed scientific information.
- Presenting, communicating, and facilitating discussions with small and large groups in an engaging manner.
- With minimal supervision, leading projects of a broad scope within Global Medical Affairs.
Skills and Requirements:
- Accredited degree in a relevant life sciences subject (consideration will be given to candidates with university degrees who have medical or scientific industry / clinical experience).
- Completion of relevant diploma / code of practice examinations.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in global medical affairs, including success in MSL organizations in Oncology preferred.
- Professional knowledge and skills working in Oncology therapeutics preferred.
- Working knowledge of applicable country and regional guidelines
- Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
- Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
- Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office.
