Proclinical is seeking a Clinical Diabetes Specialist to provide high-quality education, training, and support to healthcare professionals and individuals living with diabetes.
Primary Responsibilities:
This field-based role in Albany, NY, focuses on improving patient outcomes and promoting the adoption of advanced diabetes technologies. You will combine clinical expertise with stakeholder engagement to make a meaningful impact in diabetes care.
Skills & Requirements:
- Clinical background in healthcare (e.g., nursing, dietetics, pharmacy) or equivalent hands-on experience in a relevant clinical setting.
- Training or certification in diabetes education or advanced diabetes management (or working towards this).
- Strong knowledge of diabetes care, including:
- Insulin therapy and titration.
- Glucose monitoring technologies and/or insulin pump therapy.
- Diabetes self-management education.
- Awareness of acute and long-term complications.
- Experience delivering education and training to patients and/or healthcare professionals.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex clinical concepts clearly.
- Comfortable working independently in a field-based role with regular travel.
- Experience supporting or training on diabetes-related technologies.
- Familiarity with digital health tools or data-driven diabetes management.
- Exposure to a commercial or field-based healthcare environment.
The Clinical Diabetes Sales Specialist's responsibilities will be:
- Deliver structured education to individuals with diabetes on self-management, including insulin use and lifestyle strategies.
- Provide training on diabetes technologies such as insulin delivery systems and data management tools.
- Support patients in optimizing therapy and improving glycemic outcomes through both in-person and virtual sessions.
- Educate and support healthcare professionals (e.g., diabetes specialists, nurses, pharmacists) on diabetes management and technology.
- Build and maintain strong clinical relationships within the territory.
- Conduct clinical presentations, workshops, and product training sessions.
- Collaborate with a commercial partner to support regional goals and expand education and clinical support opportunities.
- Contribute to territory planning and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of activities and training sessions.
Compensation:
- $120,000 to $125,000 per annum.
