Flexible working hours could tempt life sciences workers into switching jobs.
Flexible hours are the most valued benefit by employees across the European life sciences industry and 70% of them whose employers are not offering this benefit say that they would move jobs if it was offered to them elsewhere. Health-related benefits, including dental care, wellness programmes, and healthcare were the most wanted by employees in the industry.
These are the findings from staffing specialists Proclinical, who surveyed over 750 individuals working in the life sciences industry within Europe to measure how employers use benefits, which benefits are offered most, which are valued the highest by employees, and how benefits affect how they feel about their employer. The data have been released in a report that shows how employee benefits can be used to attract, engage and retain employees.
