What do medical liaison jobs involve?
A medical liaison (sometimes called a medical science liaison or MSL) is a therapy expert that acts as a scientific resource on behalf of a pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device company. They are strictly non-sales, with the intention of serving as scientific advisors in their key therapy area. Day-to-day, medical liaisons will engage with many different professionals within the medical community including key opinion leaders (KOLs) like doctors and nurses at hospitals, stakeholders and internal sales and marketing teams. This often involves responding to requests for information or holding advisory boards.
