Proclinical is seeking a Plant Engineer for a contract role based in Switzerland. In this position, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and compliant maintenance of equipment and processes. This includes optimizing workflows, managing technical projects, and maintaining documentation in line with cGMP standards. The role also involves training personnel and collaborating with various teams to ensure operational excellence.
Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location or hold an EU passport.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper and cost-effective maintenance while maintaining sufficient equipment availability, including liaising with authorities.
- Prepare and coordinate maintenance activities in collaboration with workshops.
- Lead technical aspects of small-scale projects aimed at optimizing processes, equipment, and internal workflows.
- Issue work orders, conduct technical-commercial evaluations, and plan capacities to optimize equipment and personnel usage.
- Monitor and adhere to budgets related to maintenance, production adjustments, and investments.
- Update and review ongoing equipment documentation, such as flow diagrams, zoning plans, and parts lists, in compliance with cGMP.
- Train operations and workshop personnel on process and equipment knowledge, as well as safety, hygiene, environmental, and quality standards.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Educational background in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related technical field (e.g., university degree or technical college).
- Professional experience, ideally within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong knowledge of GMP standards; familiarity with COMOS Plant Engineering Software and SAP is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and flexibly, with strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Structured, focused, and highly organized work approach.
- Solution-oriented mindset and openness to new ideas.
- Fluent in German and proficient in English.
- Full-time, on-site presence required.
