Proclinical is seeking a dedicated Engineer to provide engineering expertise and support for a pharmaceutical site in Neuchatel. In this role, you will focus on facilities and utilities, ensuring continuous production activities while adhering to industry standards and safety protocols. You will also contribute to projects aimed at improving and optimizing site operations.
Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location or hold an EU passport.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary technical contact and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned installations.
- Provide expertise in building HVAC systems, black utilities, chillers, boilers, clean utilities, and chemical storage/distribution.
- Lead or support the design, installation, commissioning, and qualification of equipment improvements, changes, or upgrades.
- Proactively assess the technical condition of equipment and systems, proposing corrective actions or improvements as needed.
- Organize and coordinate corrective actions, modifications, and improvements.
- Ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards, including cGMP, GEP, and safety regulations.
- Develop and apply engineering procedures and company standards.
- Implement site, divisional, and corporate procedures.
- Participate in internal and external audits as a system expert.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Degree in engineering (biotechnology, chemistry, food processing, or mechanical engineering).
- Experience in process and plant engineering within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Familiarity with installation, commissioning, and validation of pharmaceutical facilities, particularly utilities.
- Knowledge of Good Engineering Practices (cGxPs), FDA guidelines, ISPE guidelines, ASTM2500, and ASME-BPE standards.
- Proficiency in French and English; German is a plus.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office and MS Project.
- Problem-solving abilities and technical learning aptitude.
- Team-oriented mindset and readiness for hands-on activities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
