Global External Manufacturing Director

Proclinical are partnering with a biotech organisation who are recruiting for an individual to join their team. This role is on a permanent basis and is located in Catalunya. The opening position is for a Global External Manufacturing Director.

Responsibilities:

• Guide cross-functional teams and joint management teams for development programs and/or commercial products at CDMOs during lifecycle phases.
• Form and guide cross-functional/global project and governance teams, cooperating with multiple functions both on an internal and external basis.
• Handle operational actions at CDMOs, guaranteeing product development, regular provisions, and clinical supply in line with production and QC actions.
• Review, execute and uphold customised development and manufacturing solutions internationally to develop patient access to medicines in line with product strategy teams.
• Contribute to projects linked to manufacturing operations, which involves technology transfers, process improvements, validation actions and regulatory proposals.
• Other duties may be assigned to this role.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Capable of guiding cross-functional teams and working well with others.
• Know-how of manufacturing operations, technology transfers, and regulatory needs.
• Familiarity with handling external CDMOs for biological drug substances.
• Preferably able to bring sterile, aseptic expertise in a production setting in a regional or global scope.
• Knowledge of external manufacturing operations, which involves managing relations with CDMOs.
• Able to resolve issues.
• Project management skills.
• Capable of driving constant improvement initiatives.
