Proclinical is advertising an exciting opportunity for a Financial Planning and Analyst Specialist with an innovative biotechnology company that specialises in RNAi therapeutics. The Financial Planning and Analyst Specialist will join this exciting company's team in Massachusetts in a contract role.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Working in partnership with the Senior Manager to forecast and report results on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to upper management.
  • Collaborating closely with the Commercial, Medical Affairs, and other departmental business partners to ensure proper resource allocation for program spend across regionals in a global, commercial environment.
  • Partnering closely with Accounting, Procurement, and other groups across the organisation to ensure requests are procured and account for accurately on company's financials.
  • Analysing data to explain trends and variances from budget and forecast to upper management.
  • Driving process improvements and efficiencies and identifying potential cost saving to make budget trade-offs.
  • Driving financial education, accountability, and operational excellence throughout the organisation.
  • Assisting with special projects, as needed.

Skills and Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
  • A strategic mindset, capable of formulating actionable financial analyses and seeing them through.
  • A thorough understanding of applicable Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
  • Proficient with computer software, particularly MS Excel and SAP.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, focusing on communication, persuasion, and negotiation.
  • A capability of communicating with various levels of management.
  • An ability to work sensitively with confidential material.
  • An ability to handle multiple assignments and managing competing priorities with tight deadlines.
