Proclinical is happy to announce that a leading Biotechnology company is advertising a vacancy for an Environmental Monitoring Consultant. The company specialises in providing support to Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Companies across a variety of needs, such as documentation, process mapping, and project management. The Environmental Monitoring Consultant will join the company's team in North Carolina for an initial 6-month contract, with a high likelihood of extension.
Job Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and updating SOPs relating to the company's environmental monitoring program.
- Reducing environmental deviations.
- Gathering, collating, interpreting, and reporting the results of environmental testing and making recommendations for improvements.
- Interacting extensively and effectively with multiple departments and stakeholders.
Skills and Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience within a pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment.
- Knowledge and experience in sampling and testing air (e.g., settling plates, RCS), water, surfaces (contact plates, swab samples), solutions, chemicals, materials, and personnel microbial contamination.
- Knowledge of monitoring and testing manufacturing utilities, including air (e.g., Met-One particle counter), water (sampling for USP tests), and clean steam for quality and non-biological contaminants.
- Knowledge of sampling and testing to support studies of cleaning and sterilisation efficiency.
- An ability to undertake both biological and non-biological testing of environmental samples, and to critically assess and communicate the implications of the testing results.
