Proclinical is recruiting for a Bioprocess Engineer for an exciting on-site contract role. You'll play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of Upstream biotechnology workflows. The position involves supporting robust and efficient upstream processing activities in a biotechnology manufacturing environment.
Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location or hold an EU passport.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert input on upstream operations and media preparation.
- Monitor process metrics and drive improvements in efficiency and quality.
- Keep process documentation current and compliant.
- Assist with onboarding new processes and refining existing ones.
- Investigate issues and support resolution through CAPA implementation.
- Ensure proper documentation and closure of production records.
- Participate in manufacturing campaigns for hands-on process insight.
- Support production teams with technical troubleshooting.
- Share process knowledge to support team alignment and consistency.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience in bioprocessing or regulated manufacturing environments is advantageous.
- Solid understanding of biologics production and compliance standards.
- Familiarity with electronic batch execution systems such as DeltaV or Syncade is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, especially in documentation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
- Fluency in English required; additional language skills are beneficial.
