Proclinical is seeking a Technology Advisor to provide expert technical insights and guidance in the development of innovative diagnostic platforms. This role involves working closely with R&D leadership and senior management to drive key design decisions and translate advanced intellectual property into scalable, commercially viable products. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge advancements in clinical diagnostics, with applications in infectious diseases, oncology, and cancer monitoring. Travel between UK and US sites may be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Offer in-depth technical advice and insights across all aspects of diagnostic platform development.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex engineering challenges, ensuring solutions align with user needs and product requirements.
  • Produce clear, high-quality technical documentation and communicate complex concepts effectively.
  • Contribute to optimizing product development processes and shaping long-term R&D strategies.
  • Demonstrate excellence in technical execution and uphold scientific rigor.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, ethical, and industry standards, including conducting risk assessments.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Proven experience in developing and leading regulated diagnostic or medical device products, particularly involving complex instrumentation and consumable-cartridge-based systems.
  • Expertise in translating new technologies into market-ready products.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to address intricate technical issues.
  • Advanced degree (PhD or Master's) in a relevant engineering discipline, such as Mechanical, Electronic, or Bioengineering.
  • Open to full-time or part-time candidates, with flexibility for travel between UK and US sites.
