Proclinical is advertising a vacancy for a Scientist - Protein Analytics for Downstream Process Development position with a leading global pharmaceutical company that specialises in the development of biological therapies. This leading global organisation, which operates in 140 countries worldwide and has market leading products in multiple therapy areas, is seeking for applicants to join their team in Switzerland.
In this position, the Scientist - Protein Analytics will join a team of scientists responsible for the development and scale-up of purification processes and related technologies for GMP manufacturing of a wide diversity of protein pharmaceuticals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Defining and performing analytical experiments to address problems arising in early-stage development projects.
- Planning, designing, and performing experiments to arrive at scientifically sound conclusions making optimal use of available resources and time.
Skills and Requirements:
- An apprenticeship or equivalent education in analytical chemistry and/or instrumental analytics, such as HPLC.
- Demonstrable ability in applying biochemistry and biochemical engineering principles to analytical problems.
- Practical experience in protein analytics and instrumental analytics, ideally in an industry setting.
- Familiarity with state-of-the-art analytical approaches to support process optimisation is advantageous.
- Strong scientific/technical writing and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in English and German in a written and oral capacity.
- Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
- Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
- Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office.
- Entry Level.
