Research Associate - Contract - Lexington, MA

Proclinical is seeking a motivated Research Associate to join our client's team in the US.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate focuses on oligonucleotide synthesis and chemistry, supporting discovery-related activities in a dynamic biotech environment. You will play a key role in fulfilling compound requests, ensuring sample quality, and contributing to cutting-edge research in immuno-oncology and pharmaceuticals.
Skills & Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in common laboratory operations, including pipetting, dilution, and UV measurement.
- Experience with UHPLC and LC-MS operation and analysis is strongly preferred.
- Background in analytical chemistry is highly desirable.
- Educational background: Master's degree with relevant experience or Bachelor's degree with additional industry experience.
The Research Associate's responsibilities will be:
- Fulfill compound requests accurately and ensure quality for in vitro and in vivo assays.
- Analyze oligonucleotides using LC-MS and UHPLC for identification and purity assessment.
- Operate Hamilton Star liquid handler for high-throughput sample preparation in 96-well plates.
- Perform quality control assays, including UV, pH, osmolality, and bacterial endotoxin testing.
- Maintain an accurate and traceable inventory of oligonucleotides.
- Communicate effectively with team members and requestors to support multiple projects.
- Document experimental results in an electronic lab notebook (ELN) and register relevant sample data.
