An international environmental technology company is seeking to recruit a Pharma Product Manager to their office in Milan. This company specialises in providing technical expertise across public cleaning services, distribution network access, and watering of green spaces. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an organisation whose mission objective is built around sustainable development and improving the environmental performance of communities and industries.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Advise and recommend sales and market growth targets.
  • Achievement of sales and market growth objectives.
  • Close coordination with the Technical Manager and 3rd party manufacturer to ensure:
    • Technical and commercial accuracy of the specifications being proposed
    • Orders placed upon the 3rd party manufacturer are clear, complete and priced correctly in line with the current price list and manufacturing agreement.
  • Close coordination with all parties to ensure the project deliverables are fully clarified and closed out and the sales promise has been fully executed to the satisfaction of the end user client.
  • Attendance of the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) on behalf of the ordering or as substitute to the Technical Manager.
  • Provide assistance to the BU's in the resolution of any warranty or performance related matters which are either disputed or unable to be resolved by the supplier - Or may represent design issues.
  • Provide comprehensive training programmes on products, complete with support documentation and drawings, using the existing demonstration models available for such training, or live products (during witnessed FAT) at the manufacturer's premises.
  • Train VWS BU staff (especially sales, marketing and design proposals staff) who will need to know key design and regulatory aspects of the Pharma GMP environment and how to design and price systems encompassing technology, along with how to differentiate and win against competitive suppliers and how to package service offerings to support long-term customer relations.
  • Train clients and/or consultants on aspects or design, operation and service.
  • Maintain an accurate summary of all orders and enquiries in the CRM and a monthly status report commenting on orders won and lost, and an update on priorities and forecast for the next reporting period.
  • Create Monthly update on any other significant market development activity e.g. customer issues, competition, regulations, new technology etc.
  • Maintain strong awareness of the Water for Injection (WFI) and Clean Steam global market standards and developments in regulatory, market attitude, and competitor offering to ensure that remains at the forefront for both technology and commercial competitiveness.
  • Visit client sites with local BUs from time to time to understand their local market needs and sales potential and prepare promotional material (e.g. visual presentations or written articles for publishing) for use in marketing.
  • Participate in Pharma market strategy and communication meetings as are organised from time to time by marketing.
  • Assist with marketing programs such as seminars, presenting papers, and exhibitions as required.
  • Work with the Solutions VP to develop the future product evolution and integration with other
  • pharma products, including the sourcing of potential alternative manufacturing partners to support other geographies, or mitigate supply interruption arising from default or cancellation of the existing agreement.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Technical Degree - advantageous to have studied fluid mechanics and heat transfer engineering Sales and marketing trained or qualified.
  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical manufacturing supply chain industry, particularly in sales or support of compendial water treatment plants or other engineered technologies.
  • Strong technical and quality background in GMP manufacturing environments, coupled with a disciplined approach to building and maintaining design, sales and marketing files in line with pharma market standards.
  • Compliance with all codes of Ethics, Polices and Procedures.
  • Maintain a strong sense of health & safety awareness and practice.
  • A willingness to travel to different countries at short notice to meet clients with local BU colleagues.
  • Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
  • Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office.
