Medical Science Liaison (MSL) - West of Germany

Proclinical is happy to announce that we are advertising an opportunity for a talented and hardworking individual to join a Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Liver Diseases position at a leading research-based biopharmaceutical company that delivers life-saving therapies to patients in need. The company is looking to add the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in a therapy area of Liver Diseases (Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and NASH) to their ranks in their Munich-based team.

The Medical Science Liaison will be part of the Medical team, and will focus on working with health care professionals. They will respond to clinical inquiries regarding marketed or developmental company products.

Job Responsibilities:

• Presenting scientific and clinical data for these products.
• Identifying and developing regional and national opinion leaders to support company products and train company approved speakers through personal contacts and on-site visits.
• Establishing strong relationships with opinion leaders, clinical investigators, and providers at academic and non-academic settings.
• Assisting with company Phase IV programmes; this includes collaborating with investigators and internal company personnel.
• Assisting with site selection for both Phase IV and other clinical trials.
• Actively collaborating with the rest of the Liver Disease medical team.
• Anticipating obstacles and difficulties that may arise in the field, and resolving them in a collaborative manner.
• Collaborating with company personnel in Sales, Marketing, Clinical Research, Global Safety, Medical Communication, and other functions.
• Utilising scientific resources to deliver impactful presentations in a variety of different settings.
• Travelling to appointments, meetings, and conferences on a frequent and regular basis, occasionally with short notice.

Skills and Requirements:

• Typically, the company requires an MS degree in a scientific discipline and relevant experience in a medically related endeavour.
• Advanced degrees, such as a PharmD or MD are preferred.
• Full cognizance of all relevant scientific data, along with regulatory requirements for field-based personnel. They must be committed to continuing education to maintain their knowledge base.
• The MS must be available for advice and collaboration to others both from within and outside the company.
• An ability to work as a member of several teams that may overlap, such as a national MS team, regional sales team, national accounts, and others.
• Experience in preparing and delivering presentations is required.
• Experience in the management or investigation of clinical trials is highly desirable.
