Laboratory Technician, Microbiology - Contract - Social Circle, GA

Proclinical is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support environmental monitoring and quality control activities within a manufacturing environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

This role involves conducting critical biological, chemical, and physical analyses, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining data integrity. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in biology or chemistry and a keen eye for detail.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biological sciences, or a related technical field.
  • Familiarity with microbiology techniques, including environmental monitoring, critical utility sampling, endotoxin testing, bioburden analysis, microbial identification, and sterility testing.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements such as FDA, GLP, QSR, and cGMP.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with laboratory instrumentation and data management systems is a plus.

The Laboratory Technician's responsibilities will be:

  • Collect samples from manufacturing areas to evaluate environmental conditions and critical utility systems.
  • Perform biological, chemical, and physical analyses on raw materials, in-process samples, final products, and environmental monitoring samples.
  • Operate laboratory instruments and computer systems, including LIMS, to collect and record data accurately.
  • Conduct precise assays, applying principles of biology and chemistry.
  • Complete all testing, including special project or protocol testing, within required timelines.
  • Initiate and obtain approvals for test requests as needed.
  • Maintain inventory and supplies necessary for routine testing.
  • Follow continuous improvement practices such as QLP, 5S, and LEAN methodologies.
  • Perform equipment maintenance and calibrations as required.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with company SOPs, FDA regulations, GLP, QSR, and cGMP standards.
  • Perform release functions in LIMS or other computerized systems.
  • Support additional duties as assigned.
