Proclinical is seeking an Accessioner I to play a key part in preparing specimens for laboratory analysis and testing.

Primary Responsibilities:

This position offers an opportunity to contribute to impactful work in advanced laboratory science while being supported by a collaborative team and leadership.

Skills & Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Familiarity with handling various specimen types, such as blood, oral fluid, urine, and viral swabs in media or saline, is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.

The Accessioner's responsibilities will be:

• Process specimens by unpacking, sorting, and verifying samples received from couriers and law enforcement agencies.
• Label, aliquot, and deliver samples to the appropriate testing areas while maintaining chain-of-custody protocols.
• Prepare both negative and positive in-house blinds for quality control purposes.
• Assess specimen suitability based on established laboratory procedures.
• Resolve issues with problem specimens and follow protocols for storage and disposal.
• Forward any misdirected specimens to the correct department.
• Perform data entry tasks, including entering orders and demographic information into the system.

Compensation:

• $15 to $19 per hour.
