Proclinical is excited to announce that a new job opportunity has arisen for a Key Account Manager, Veterinary Care position to join an international animal healthcare company. This company empowers their clients, ranging from veterinarians to food producers to all those concerned with animal health, to address global challenges, and enrich the lives of animals.
The Key Account Manager will join the company as part of its South West UK Ruminant Vet sales team and will be responsible for a key number of large veterinary practices in the region; these will mainly be cattle focused.
Job Responsibilities:
- Executing sales calls.
- Partnering with key accounts, using strong commercial acumen and customer focus; building long-term sustainable relationships.
- Deriving key insights from real world data to influence and change current and future working practice of vets and farmers.
- Providing dairy management/technical support - including monitoring and vet training.
- Deploying company knowledge solutions, tools, and value adding activities effectively across farms, e.g., risk and economic assessments.
- Around 75% of the job will be spent in the field, including some overnight stays.
- Meeting and exceeding territory based sales targets, through growth of aligned accounts.
- Delivering effective working practices, relationships, record keeping, and communications within Elanco.
- Working closely with the technical consultant and wider cross-functional team on farms and in driving solutions to customers.
Skills and Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience and passion for the dairy industry and its stakeholders.
- A deep knowledge of the dairy industry and agriculture, and a willingness to improve on this knowledge.
- A university degree in a relevant subject.
- Veterinary experience on a farm would be advantageous.
