Lead complex pharma logistics in Switzerland-own compliance, operations, and audit readiness at site level.

Proclinical is seeking a Head of Warehouse & Logistics for a contract role based in Switzerland. This position focuses on overseeing logistics operations at the site, ensuring compliance with Swiss Medic licensing requirements, and supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing processes. You will lead a team, optimize warehouse operations, and play a key role in regulatory inspections and audits.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of logistics experts and operators, including recruitment, coaching, and performance management.
  • Supervise the EWM IT project as the business project leader for the local site.
  • Represent the warehouse facility during regulatory inspections, customer audits, and presentations.
  • Oversee all warehousing and material management activities, including receiving, issuing, storage, handling, consumption, and material scrapping.
  • Drive optimization of warehouse processes to ensure compliant storage, transportation, and distribution with a focus on efficiency.
  • Facilitate effective communication between management, stakeholders, and the Global Engineering CAPEX team.
  • Represent operations in investment projects, ensuring operational readiness and compliance during audits.
  • Prepare risk analyses, SOPs, and training materials to ensure staff readiness.
  • Support the Site Supply Chain Head in achieving project and overall goals for Drug Product Services (DPS).

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Proficiency in German (for operators) and English (for documentation and communication).
  • Background in GxP and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage and develop small teams.
  • Knowledge of SAP systems, particularly SAP-EWM.
  • Availability to work on-site 4-5 days per week.
  • Experience managing daily logistics operations in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to support and improve logistics processes, ensuring readiness for SAP-EWM implementation.
  • Capability to lead and support customer and health authority audits.
