Lead complex pharma logistics in Switzerland-own compliance, operations, and audit readiness at site level.

Proclinical is seeking a Head of Warehouse & Logistics for a contract role based in Switzerland. This position focuses on overseeing logistics operations at the site, ensuring compliance with Swiss Medic licensing requirements, and supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing processes. You will lead a team, optimize warehouse operations, and play a key role in regulatory inspections and audits.

Responsibilities:

Lead and develop a team of logistics experts and operators, including recruitment, coaching, and performance management.
Supervise the EWM IT project as the business project leader for the local site.
Represent the warehouse facility during regulatory inspections, customer audits, and presentations.
Oversee all warehousing and material management activities, including receiving, issuing, storage, handling, consumption, and material scrapping.
Drive optimization of warehouse processes to ensure compliant storage, transportation, and distribution with a focus on efficiency.
Facilitate effective communication between management, stakeholders, and the Global Engineering CAPEX team.
Represent operations in investment projects, ensuring operational readiness and compliance during audits.
Prepare risk analyses, SOPs, and training materials to ensure staff readiness.
Support the Site Supply Chain Head in achieving project and overall goals for Drug Product Services (DPS).

Key Skills and Requirements:

Proficiency in German (for operators) and English (for documentation and communication).
Background in GxP and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Strong leadership skills to manage and develop small teams.
Knowledge of SAP systems, particularly SAP-EWM.
Availability to work on-site 4-5 days per week.
Experience managing daily logistics operations in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Ability to support and improve logistics processes, ensuring readiness for SAP-EWM implementation.
Capability to lead and support customer and health authority audits.
