CH - Packaging Engineer- Normal

Proclinical is advertising a vacancy for a Packaging Engineer position with one of the most renowned pharmaceutical companies in the world. Based in Switzerland, this is an exciting opportunity to work with a top 10 pharmaceutical company that influences a range of industries, from medical devices to pharmaceutical and consumer goods.

The Packaging Engineer will provide technical expertise in the areas of technical design, development, testing, and production of scale-up of new packaging components and systems. They will work under the supervision of Senior Packaging Development leadership.

Job Responsibilities:

• Designing and developing packaging for medical devices.
• Enhancing and validating package components and packaging processes.
• Developing package testing plans and interpreting results for various projects.
• Coordinating and performing all activities associated with manufacturing and testing.
• Providing troubleshooting in all activities related to manufacturing in the field.
• Participating in process improvement or team tasks.
• Participating and advising in decisions involving equipment, package design, cost saving, and cost reduction.
• Determining and coordinating physical testing to ensure product and packager integrity for manufacturing through end users.
• Researching and cataloguing packaging methods and techniques and recommending adaptations to meet variations.
• Building technical competencies in packaging materials and processes used in all manufacturing processes.
• Participating and providing technical expertise for risk assessment and compliance assurance programs.
• Assuring delivery of robust, cost effective, fully compliant packaging solutions that meet current and evolving customer's needs.
• Knowing and following all laws and policies that apply to the role, and maintaining the highest levels of professionalism, ethics, and compliance at all times.

Skills and Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent Technical.
• 2-4 years related experience.
• Fluency in English, with German a strong advantage.
• Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
• Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
• Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
• Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office.
