Bench Scientist I - Upstream

Proclinical is currently recruiting for a Bench Scientist 1 - Upstream position on behalf of a top 10 global pharmaceutical company. This organization develops innovative products across multiple therapy areas including cardiovascular, oncology, and respiratory, and employs 100,000 staff globally. Job Responsibilities:

• Upstream Operations 3.
• Executes activities for the manufacture of clinical supply of investigational biopharmaceutical molecules.
• Performs hands-on processing of large scale cell culture or microbial fermentation steps under cGMP regulatory conditions.
• Processing steps include:
• Small scale/scale-up from vial thaw
• End of production
• Media preparation
• Operating stainless steel and single use bioreactors
• Harvest operations
• CIP
• SIP
• Washer and autoclave operation
• In addition to manufacturing responsibilities, may work on projects and assignments where independent action and a high degree of initiative are required.

Skills and Requirements:

• A university degree preferred.
• Demonstrable experience in a similar or relevant capacity.
• Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
• Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
• Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
• Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office.
