Application Specialist (80-100%) - 853

Proclinical is seeking an Application Specialist to join our Market Solutions team. This role focuses on monitoring and ensuring ongoing application operations in the Market Applications area. If you have a creative mind, a feel for the latest digital trends and technologies, and can integrate these trends effectively into processes, this position offers a varied and dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the interface between application users, the IT organization, and software suppliers.
• Identify and evaluate business requirements and new functionalities in cooperation with business users.
• Independently plan new releases, updates, and testing.
• Continuously improve applications in terms of operability, availability, and cost efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with agreed service level agreements and cyber security requirements.
• Actively participate in projects to further develop the application landscape.
• Create customer-specific evaluations and statistics on business transactions.
• Manage all required documentation.
• Provide 24/7 on-call service.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification.
• Experience in application management and user support, or as a senior developer with knowledge of application operations.
• Practical experience in developing and operating applications in the cloud (preferably Azure Cloud).
• Familiarity with DevOps working methods and security requirements.
• Experience with at least one programming language (preferably Java or C#).
• Knowledge of IT architectures, technologies, interfaces, and monitoring applications (preferably ELK Stack).
• Understanding of data, configuration, and interface management, and ITIL processes (ITIL Foundation certification is an advantage).
• Practical experience in requirement engineering and specification writing.
• High customer orientation, quick comprehension, and assertiveness.
• Proficiency in German and English.
