IT Deskside Technician - Contract - Cambridge MA

Proclinical is seeking a Deskside Technician to provide professional and reliable end-user support, focusing on Tier 1 and Tier 2 deskside assistance.

Primary Responsibilities:

In this role, you will troubleshoot hardware, software, and workplace technology issues while delivering excellent customer service. You will also contribute to process improvements and documentation efforts in a fast-paced environment. A proactive mindset, eagerness to learn, and clear communication skills are essential for success.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Familiarity with Windows and macOS environments.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and ticketing systems.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience supporting executives or VIP users (preferred).
  • Familiarity with endpoint management tools and collaboration platforms (preferred).
  • Exposure to regulated or enterprise environments (preferred).

The IT Deskside Technician's responsibilities will be:

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for hardware, software, operating systems, and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, VOIP phones, and collaboration tools both remotely and onsite.
  • Resolve issues at first contact whenever possible and escalate when necessary.
  • Offer technical assistance for meetings, including planning and coordination for large events.
  • Deliver courteous and professional support to all employees, including white-glove service for executives and VIP users.
  • Collaborate with vendors for hardware/software troubleshooting, repair, and replacement while ensuring security and professionalism standards.
  • Document incidents, requests, and resolutions accurately in the service desk system.
  • Contribute to knowledge base articles and maintain organized equipment storage areas.
  • Participate in deskside-related projects and deployments.
  • Identify recurring issues and suggest process improvements.
  • Support enhancements to the service desk and ITSM platform.

Compensation:

  • $87,000
