Validation Engineer - Instruments

Proclinical is advertising a vacancy for a Validation Engineer - Instruments position with a leading pharmaceutical company that specialises in multiple therapy areas, including HIV, oncology, cardiovascular, and respiratory fields. This renowned company prides itself on its staggeringly long history and is currently recruiting the Validation Engineer to join their team in California. This position will run for a 12-month contract period.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing start-up, commissioning, and validation activities within the scope of work for an assigned project, whilst emphasising computerized laboratory instrumentation and equipment used in GMP, GLP, and GCP environments.
• Supporting commissioning activities such as SATs, Installation Verification, Operational Verification, writing of SOPs for the PCS and Building Monitoring Systems.
• Performing as an onsite advocate in the selection, design, and implementation of new and updated IT Infrastructure, applications programs, databases, Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELN) laboratory equipment automation, Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), and Regulatory Asset Management.

Skills and Requirements:

• A university degree in a relevant field.
• Demonstrable experience in the Validation field.
• Experience with CSV/Software is also desirable.
• Familiarity with traditional Biotech equipment.
• Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
• Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
• Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
• Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office.
• Mid-Senior Level.
