The main purpose of this position is to translate and deliver business strategy in line with Proclinical service attributes, through leadership of effective sales teams within the Permanent division of Proclinical Staffing, US. This individual would be responsible for the Profit and Loss performance of the US Perm division, managing revenue streams to ensure sustained business growth and profitability, whilst driving a high performance and service led culture in an enabling environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT & COMMERCIAL OBJECTIVES:
- Utilizes business data and key insights to develop and implement a clear business development strategy for the US Perm division
- Driving and embedding organizational changes that support business strategy and generate higher revenue; championing all internal processes including but not limited to Human Resources, software, and systems such as the company database
- Planning resource allocation for the Perm division according to headcount budget and against key business objectives
- Responsible for the Profit and Loss performance of all US Life Sciences Perm offices
- Analyzing data from business systems to produce performance reports, budgets, forecasts and plans, that drive continuous business improvement and growth
- Shares data analysis with Team Managers, enabling them to understand the proposition model to assess commercial opportunity and profitability of a client, thus, deploying the most efficient delivery model
- Initiating and coordinating plans to penetrate new markets and expand the client portfolio having undertaken significant market research and presented a business case to the relevant stakeholders
SALES & CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT:
- Demonstrates a solid understanding of the Life Sciences industry, identifying where future business opportunities lie and ensuring the US Perm business remains responsive to market changes
- Educates sales teams around the cycle of service and encourages problem solving and complaint handing in a collaborative way
- Establishing professional, mutually beneficial long‐term business relationships with our clients; that maximize and develop sales opportunities to achieve sustainable business growth, whilst adding continuous value to our clients
- Collaboration with Senior Leadership across EU and APAC, promoting cross selling opportunities across all partner brands
- Escalation Point for US Finance Collection of Life Science clients
PEOPLE / STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT:
- Leads sales teams within the US permanent division, in line with Proclinical service attributes; role modelling service behaviors that enable client retention and world class service
- Approaches people management with integrity, dedicates quality time to coaching managers and providing timely honest feedback to enable improved performance
- Creates plans to build succession in the business and proactively facilitates opportunities for the US perm offices, and the wider business
- Instils high standards of behaviors and manages performance and conduct in line with Proclinical policies
- Demonstrates deep understanding of the employee life cycle and creates an inclusive environment that is conducive to the engagement and retention of the US Perm division, and wider business
- Collaborates with Proclinical US Client Services, US Contract division and Proclinical US Med Device/Tech team to optimise growth and success of the US Perm business unit
- Collaborates with all Acacium Life Sciences brands, promoting cross selling opportunities, providing required insights and support where necessary
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience in leading a successful permanent division within a Life Sciences staffing company
- Complete understanding of the US market and it's intricacies
- Demonstration of scaling a successful business and producing high revenues
- Ability to make commercial decisions to improve performance and profitability
- Proven ability to engage, manage and develop diverse sales teams
- Proven ability to effectively communicate and implement business strategy
- Experience in influencing senior stakeholders to create successful business outcomes
- Previous experience of financial planning and budgeting
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to accurately interpret data from relevant systems/software
