Senior Embedded Software Developer

Proclinical are recruiting a Senior Embedded Software Developer for a biotech corporation. This role is on a permanent basis and is located in Zurich. The client is focused on developing autonomy which will bring mobile robots to the next level.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the testing and validation of the company's products such as EMC, vibration, dust, etc.
• Create modern, high-quality Python, C and C++ code as well as contribute to code evaluations and software design conversations.
• Produce release documentation, which involves release notes and upgrade processes.
• You will design schematics and PCBs incorporating specialised hardware devices, for example: cameras, IMUs and any other sensors.
• Other duties may be assigned to this role.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Educated to a degree level in a computer science, electrical engineering discipline or comparable work experience.
• At least 3+ years of experience in a pertinent discipline and organisation.
• Familiarity with Python, C and/or C++.
• Acquaintance with using Git and Linux in a professional manner.
• Prior involvement in developing Linux device drivers and/or working on the kernel would be beneficial for the role.
• Former involvement with designing electronics, such as schematics and PCB.
• Comprehension of standard protocols, such as I2C and SPI.
• Acquaintance with Ethernet, PCIe and MIPI would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with camera chips and IMUs would also be beneficial.
• A can-do attitude with the ability to assume responsibility of areas within own interest.
• Works well in a team.
• Keen on working within a dynamic start-up setting.
