Senior Data Strategist - Life Sciences & Drug Discovery

Proclinical is working alongside a global pharmaceutical organisation who is seeking a Senior Data Strategist to lead enterprise-wide digital transformation and data strategy initiatives supporting next-generation drug discovery research.
This role combines strategy, scientific informatics, data architecture, and stakeholder leadership within a highly innovative R&D environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute long-term data strategy initiatives
- Build scalable research data infrastructure and analytics environments
- Partner with scientific teams to improve data utilisation and decision-making
- Lead cross-functional technical and digital transformation projects
- Support AI/ML-enabled research initiatives
- Drive organisational adoption of modern data practices
Requirements
- Strong experience in data strategy, research informatics, or scientific digital transformation
- Background within biotech, pharma, life sciences, or healthcare
- Experience leading cross-functional technical teams
- Strong understanding of data engineering and analytics infrastructure
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Preferred
- Drug discovery or translational research exposure
- AI/ML platform experience
- Cloud infrastructure experience
