Research Associate, Downstream Process Development - Contract - Gaithersburg MD

Proclinical is seeking a Research Associate to support a temporary surge in Downstream Process Development.

Primary Responsibilities:

This role will perform routine sample testing using various techniques and assays, maintain accurate records, and present results in team meetings. This position requires a proactive individual with strong organizational skills and a positive attitude.

Skills & Requirements:

• BA/BS in Bio/Chem Engineering, Life Sciences, Biophysics or a related scientific discipline with 1 year of proven working experienced in pharmaceutical or biotech companies.
• Knowledge and experience in protein-based analytics (SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, ELISAs, Colorimetric assays).
• Proficiency in Windows-based software
• Excellent communication, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Be an individual with a positive outlook and a 'can do' attitude in order to achieve personal goals and overcome obstacles.

The Research Associate's responsibilities will be:

• Perform routine sample testing using techniques such as SDS-PAGE, Western Blots, ELISAs, and colorimetric assays.
• Maintain accurate records of all activities and data in specified formats in real time.
• Analyze laboratory data to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
• Present results in team meetings.
• Assist in maintaining department records and managing raw material/finished product inventories.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, including asset induction, calibrations, and maintenance.
• Assist in shipping, receiving supplies, and restocking the lab.
• Ensure proper disposal of trash, biohazardous waste, and recycle waste.
• Perform other related duties as required.
