Research Associate, Downstream Process Development - Contract - Gaithersburg MD

Proclinical is seeking a Research Associate to support a temporary surge in Downstream Process Development.

Primary Responsibilities:

This role will perform routine sample testing using various techniques and assays, maintain accurate records, and present results in team meetings. This position requires a proactive individual with strong organizational skills and a positive attitude.

Skills & Requirements:

BA/BS in Bio/Chem Engineering, Life Sciences, Biophysics or a related scientific discipline with 1 year of proven working experienced in pharmaceutical or biotech companies.
Knowledge and experience in protein-based analytics (SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, ELISAs, Colorimetric assays).
Proficiency in Windows-based software
Excellent communication, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Be an individual with a positive outlook and a 'can do' attitude in order to achieve personal goals and overcome obstacles.

The Research Associate's responsibilities will be:

Perform routine sample testing using techniques such as SDS-PAGE, Western Blots, ELISAs, and colorimetric assays.
Maintain accurate records of all activities and data in specified formats in real time.
Analyze laboratory data to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
Present results in team meetings.
Assist in maintaining department records and managing raw material/finished product inventories.
Maintain laboratory equipment, including asset induction, calibrations, and maintenance.
Assist in shipping, receiving supplies, and restocking the lab.
Ensure proper disposal of trash, biohazardous waste, and recycle waste.
Perform other related duties as required.
