Pharmaceutical Scientist - Fermentation

Proclinical is advertising a vacancy for a Pharmaceutical Scientist - Fermentation position with one of the world's largest workforce management solutions companies. The organization, which specialises in multiple scientific and engineering sectors, is seeking for the Scientist to join their office based in Louisiana.

Job Responsibilities:

• Providing scientific and technical presence and support for the fermentation of Large Molecules.
• Authoring and reviewing technical documents in support of the trials and experiments.
• Tracking project outputs, providing any required associated reports, including status and plans.
• Performing data analysis and tabulation (including basic statistical data management).
• Travelling to external laboratory or business partners, as required, to attend and work on the project.

Skills and Requirements:

• A PhD in scientific discipline (Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Technology, Biology, and Biochemistry) with 1-2 years of related experience in a pharmaceutical Company or Laboratory preferably in the field of fermentation and cGMP environment.
• Knowledgeable on the fermentation process (batch, fed-batch, and perfusion) with bacteria, fungi, or CHO and associated IPC (in process controls) are required (cells count, glucose determination, and DO).
• Expertise on aseptic concept and processing, including bulk formulation, aseptic fill, freezing, freeze drying, and primary packaging.
• Basic Statistical knowledge and statistical software user (Minitab or equivalent).
• Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
• Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
• Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
• Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office.
• Mid-Senior Level.
