An international pharmaceutical company is seeking to fill the position of Market Access Manager to their office in Sweden. This organisation specialises in creating and supplying innovative pharmaceutical products, primarily focusing on bringing forth novel therapies in oncology and immuno-oncology.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop/keep up-to-date in close collaboration with the Head of Market Access Oncology Nordics a deep understanding and mapping of the relevant stakeholders (mapping and individual drivers) and the relevant commissioning and funding processes
- Develop strong relationships with identified target stakeholders on the basis of trust and perceived added value to the customer in the form of personal expertise
- Prepare and drive pre-launch and launch strategies and input for the development of budget impact models and market access tools and ensure advance budgetary notification
- Clearly identify key formulary decision makers and able to positively influence relevant formularies, policies or treatment protocols in favor of company together with KAM and MSL.
- Collaborates closely with Head of Market Access to adapt national value story and messages to the regional/local market specificities
- Define, drive and implement the pricing and market access strategy and plan to maximize market access and brand performance in regional accounts
- Continuously analyzes and monitors the current and future regional and local pricing and market access landscape and derives strategic insights to company market access strategy
- Develop a territorial pre-launch access and account strategy plan together with team, with an overall foundational objective to connect customer and patient needs with company Oncology brands
- Identify and segment key regional stakeholders and develop insights into their needs and agendas to eliminate market access hurdles at hospital / regional level including managed entry strategies.
- Drive resource allocation for the respective territory within the budget planning process in close collaboration with the MSL, KAM and the Head of Market Access.
- Have a clear understanding and record of all current relevant formularies, treatment protocols across Sweden and the process and decision-makers involved in their formulation or amendment.
- Proactively monitors and communicates key trends critical to market access to all relevant internal stakeholders as basis for discussion and potential action-planning.
- Ensure that personal expertise in terms of market, competitive and healthcare environments are maintained & updated to enable effective decision-making, customer engagement and optimal performance across the Territory.
- Take personal ownership for maintaining an expert understanding of all relevant clinical, access and HEOR related information for company Oncology brands, competitors and therapeutic areas as well as the dynamic Health Care environment.
- Contribute to building up profound understanding of funding infrastructure and relevant policy makers; to that aim drive constant knowledge transfer across the National Oncology team, in particular with the Head of Market Access
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all Company processes and SOPs and remain compliant at all times
- Proactively seek to understand competitor activities, strategies and programs and ensure that this competitive intelligence is shared broadly within the organization
Skills and Requirements:
- Relevant university degree e.g. economics, social science or public health.
- Experience with negotiations with budget holders in Swedish health care system.
- Good communication skills to and experience in communicating effectively with clinical and economic stakeholders.
- 5-8 years of experience.
- In addition to the industry and functional experience in account management, the incumbent should bring a demonstrable knowledge of medical affairs, market access and pricing/reimbursement.
- Specific commercial experience in launching Oncology therapeutics and managing complex accounts.
- Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
- Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
- Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office.
