Location:
East Coast, U.S. (Hybrid; regular onsite presence 3 days a week is required)

Role Overview

Proclinical is seeking for our client in the US, a strategic and hands-on IT leader to transform and scale their technology function. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, can bridge technical complexity with business objectives, and is passionate about building high-performing teams. You will lead modernization efforts, oversee mission-critical systems, and drive digital transformation initiatives that enable operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership across multiple IT domains, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Restructure and optimize the IT organization, balancing internal resources and external partnerships.
  • Partner with operational and technical teams to deliver solutions that meet user and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead cloud migration strategies and evaluate platform options for enterprise systems (e.g., AWS Aurora vs. Oracle).
  • Oversee development and integration of applications using C#, .NET, Medidata Rave, Oracle, SQL, and related technologies.
  • Direct ETL processes for clinical and operational data using SQL-based tools and ensure data integrity.
  • Guide the creation of dashboards and reports using Power BI, RAVE or similar BI tools to provide actionable insights.
  • Manage systems supporting Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS), IWRS/IVRS platforms, and other regulated applications.
  • Ensure compliance with 21 CFR Part 11/GxP standards, including documentation and validation of systems.
  • Drive modernization of legacy platforms and support digital transformation initiatives.
  • Manage vendor relationships, budgets, and strategic planning to maximize ROI.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven success managing cross-functional IT teams and delivering complex projects.
  • Experience in regulated industries such as life sciences, healthcare, or clinical research.
  • Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and data standards.
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
