Senior AI & Transformation Engineer - Permanent - NJ/NYC
Proclinical is partnering with a growing pharmaceutical organization seeking a Senior AI Solutions Engineer to help drive AI transformation across the business.
This is a high-impact role combining hands-on AI engineering with strategy, business transformation and stakeholder leadership.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will identify where AI can create meaningful value, guide teams on the right solutions, and personally lead more advanced AI initiatives from concept through production.
Skills & Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience across software engineering, AI development or technology consulting
- 3+ years building GenAI / LLM-based solutions
- Strong hands-on Python skills
- Experience with RAG, prompt engineering, agentic AI and multi-agent system
- Proven experience deploying AI solutions into production environments
- Experience leading complex technical projects and working with senior business stakeholders
- Strong understanding of software engineering practices including version control, CI/CD, testing and containerization
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience within consulting, regulated industries, AI enablement/training, MLOps or enterprise infrastructure would be advantageous.
The Senior AI & Transformation Engineer's responsibilities will be:
- Lead AI initiatives across multiple business functions, from intake and scoping through implementation and adoption
- Design and deliver GenAI solutions including LLM applications, RAG pipelines, agentic AI systems and multi-agent workflows
- Partner with business leaders, IT and technical teams to identify and prioritize high-value AI use cases
- Define technical architecture and guide solutions through to production
- Enable non-technical teams to effectively use conversational AI, custom assistants and low/no-code AI tools
- Review AI solutions for quality, scalability and production readiness
- Help drive broader AI adoption and transformation across the organization
