Lead the future of commercial performance as Director of Data Science.
Proclinical is seeking a Director of Commercial Data Science to spearhead data-driven strategies that elevate commercial performance. This leader will manage a dynamic analytics team, partner across functions, and deliver insights that shape critical business decisions. Success in this role requires a visionary thinker who thrives on innovation and can transform complex datasets into actionable commercial strategies.

Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted analytics partner to leadership, delivering strategic insights and actionable recommendations.
- Lead a team to transform structured and unstructured data into meaningful insights tailored to market needs.
- Integrate data across sales, marketing, finance, and operations to create a unified view of commercial performance.
- Champion global standardization while allowing for market-specific flexibility in reporting and analytics.
- Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to enhance platforms for insight delivery and data accessibility.
- Mentor and empower a high-performing analytics team, fostering a culture of curiosity and innovation.
- Allocate team resources strategically to align with business priorities and regional needs.
- Oversee recurring performance reports and trend analyses, ensuring consistency in metrics and data accuracy.
- Build continuity plans to maintain analytics delivery during team transitions or resourcing shifts.
- Provide guidance on resourcing and investment decisions based on data-driven opportunity sizing.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Background in business, data science, statistics, economics, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
- Proven experience in commercial analytics, ideally within med tech, healthcare, or life sciences.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Advanced analytical expertise to transform complex datasets into actionable insights.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to align analytics strategies with evolving business goals.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, reimbursement systems, and healthcare delivery models.
- Knowledge of med tech or healthcare industry trends and commercial data use.
- Organizational skills to manage resources and ensure team continuity across priorities.
